Vodacom just decided to invalidate my sim card
So Vodacom decided to invalidate my sim card "randomly for ***** checking". Apparently, the card needs to be rica'd again. Nobody notified me of this. Just invalidated my sim card. So I haven't been able to use my number to make or receive any calls or sms's because the sim is invalid. For goodness sake, what if I had an emergency and couldn't get a hold of anyone because I can't even use my own phone to make a phone call. Or if someone has been trying to contact me, I cant even get an sms. It has been a week since the card is not usable. Thank goodness for Whatsapp and wifi otherwise I would have been completely out of communication. The contract is in my mothers name so she now has to mission to a Vodacom store with a proof of address and ID to re-rica the sim. Vodacom is honestly just the worst service provider I have ever encountered. I can't even cancel this sim-only contract because I will have to pay 75% of the remainder of the contract, without a device. I mean what must I pay 75%of? the airtime I will not be receiving? What a way to force customers to stay with you. I will most definitely never purchase another Vodacom product ever in the future when this contract is up in the next 6 months, that is guaranteed. The network sucks, and data just goes missing. In a flash, you are out of bundles.
Thanks a lot for the inconvenience, can't wait to say goodbye to you for good.
