Vodacom is wreaking havoc with my Experian profile thus affecting my application for a home

An incorrect entry posted by Vodacom to my Experian record almost 3 years ago is causing havoc in my life for months now. Vodacom's record to Experian incorrectly states that I owe them R12 000 balance for a contract that I closed almost 3 years ago and to add insult to injury, also lists the balance as an instalment of R12000 a month for a cellphone contract that I do not have. The result is that I get declined for affordability when wanting to purchase a home / car. Vodacom has issued a paid up letter and was supposed to update Experian but to date the incorrect information is still showing. On further enquiry with Experian, they indicated that Vodacom's file had been sent but could not be processed due to a formatting error.. I advised Vodacom of the feedback but have for months now not even had a response. Experian refuses to accept the paid up letter from Vodacom and wants them to correct the file sent to Experian. How is a data formatting error between Vodacom and Experian now my concern? I now have now logged yet another dispute with Vodacom but there processes just keep looping back to the legal department that seems to be utterly useless. Vodacom do your ****** job!!
