Vodacom is wasting my time and money

I received my new phone on the 18th/19th of November and it started giving me battery problems on the night of the first of December.

I then took it in to Vodacom on the 2nd where I was told it is a manufacturing problem (really) especially because the battery is not charging and then got told it will take up to 7 days for them to repair my phone. It has been more than a month and I still haven't heard anything from Vodacom,

I am basically paying for a phone but I can only use the sim.

To be honest I feel that this situation is ridiculous as it is a brand new phone and therefore should not be giving me any problems whatsoever. Either tell me what's gong on or allow me the choice of getting a new phone, but don't waste my time.

Another problem is the Hauwei phone will not be distributed in South Africa anymore, so what will happen to all the customers who own Hauwei phones?
