Vodacom is useless

So I cancelled and settled my contract a number of months ago and with that moved to new service provider along with porting my number to their network which Vodacom only released if the contract is settled.

Now I get an invoice from Vodacom for an amount on a contract which has been settled. This is also on a bank account I am in the process of closing, so I'm not sure what they will achieve with this.

I sent them a message upon which a Mivuyo Mfinwana told me I must call them to resolve it. I responded I am not going to call them and that this is a message to say their is something wrong with their accounting and they shouldn't call me either.

I get a call from a Alida Brown which I didn't want to answer as I clearly said, do not call me. She then says I didn't want to co-operate and couldn't help me because of this in an email.

I respond to the email saying Vodacom has an issue with their accounting as they are going to try an debit an account which has no active contract or a valid bank account in the near future.

Now some Wilhelmina Gaffley is emailing me stating that they are bound to laws set out by ICASA (that's a first) and cannot do anything without prior consent and successful authentication of the account holder. It will also be in contravention of the right to my privacy to resolve this. What I don't understand is, I was required to give my ID number and physical/postal address to start everything off. Lastly, I do not have that account anymore, so how am I still the account holder.

I don't understand why they just can't resolve their internal accounting problem on, what is supposed to be, a settled contract with no active account holder.
