Vodacom is trying to rip me off.

Vodacom is trying to rip me off. I have a 3G contract with Vodacom and have been their loyal customer for the past 5 years + having a Cellphone and 3G contract with them.

Last month received the statement from Vodacom telling me that i should pay an amount of R 2462.98 for the month of May 2018 because according to them i purchased the Data of about 31GB (2 X 20GB, 2 X 5GB and 1GB) during the month of May 2018 of which i did not purchase that kind of Data because im receiving 5GB monthly from Vodacom and there was an issue of a pin with my 3G modem simcard during the May month and only managed to sort it out by doing a sim swap around 19th May 2018.

So I called one of the Vodacom Call Centre Agency and explained everything to him and he logged the call with their back-office for further investigation. And within few hours i got a call from the same Call Centre Agent and he told me that their back-office has done the investigation from their side and they noticed that my 3G Simcard was used on 7 (seven) different devices (IMEI) and im liable to pay the total amount of R 1879.90 because i did not use the 2 X 5GB that i purcahed during the month of May 2018.

I explained again to the Call Centre Agent that i hardly used my 3G modem during the course of May 2018 because i had an issue with the simcard pin hence had to do simswap on it and the only time i used the 3G it was during the week of 18th June until 22 June 2018 because i was travelling but stilll he insisted that Vodacom will be charging me R 1879.90 because i purchased the Data via a cellphone meaning i took out the 3G from the modem and insert it on a cellphone and bought 31GB of Data and also made some calls from the simcard via the cellphone of which i normaly dont insert my 3G simcard on my cellphone but only use it for my modem and also i dont have 7 different devices that they mentioned that i used those devices to purchase the 31GB and made calls from.
