VODACOM is Treating Customers Horribly!

Vodacom Is Treating Customers Horribly I have a serious complaint against Vodacom Fibre. I have a Month-to-Month contract with them.

Mid July - I called in to cancel due to constant connection issues. The agent was refusing to cancel, saying that they will rather fix my connection issues than just cancel. I refused this.

29 July - I then sent an email to *********** requesting a cancellation. I received no response.

August 30 - I signed up with MetroFibre and they informed that I need to get a cancellation letter from Vodacom so that they can activate my new MetroFibre one.

August 30 - I call Vodacom to request my cancellation letter which was requested over 30 calendar days ago. Vodacom agent tells that they are viewing it as an immediate cancellation - they are simply refusing to acknowledge the email I sent on July 29, saying that I was supposed to call - but I did call and was refused cancellation, as stated above.

Vodacom agent tells me that I will owe almost R2000 because I want to cancel this month-to-month fibre deal before 10 months have elapsed. I told him that no such terms were told to me or emailed to me at any point when I signed up. I was rather told that it is a month-to-month which only requires 30 day notice for cancellation. He tells me that it’s on the website. But he cannot point to that paragraph and I cannot find it on the website - in fact it only states what I already knew, which is that I can cancel without charges as long as I give 30 day calendar notice.

If I have to call my LegalWise I will because this is just predatory and ********* business practices by Vodacom Fibre. I did everything as instructed but yet they refuse to just cancel my month-to-month and let me go to MetroFibre.

This is my final plea. Just release me and my cancellation letter.
