Vodacom is trash.

I went to the Vodacom in greenstone to get my phone repaired. I have insured my phone through vodacom. They told me I would have to hand my phone in for 3 weeks. When I explained why this was not possible as I need my phone for work and I do not have a spare (not many people do) they sent me to the Vodacom in eastgate and told me they will loan me a phone while mine is getting fixed. As we all know- petrol is expensive. I drove out to eastgate- based on the advice from the lady at the Vodacom in greenstone- just to be told that they don’t give loan phones and haven’t been ever since the pandemic started. Carmen is the lady that helped me- she was rude and dismissive from the moment she started “assisting” me. Above all I’ve been paying insurance on my phone for the past 2 years and I was never informed that if I would need my phone fixed that I would be left without a phone for 3 weeks. I can’t make use of this insurance as it is impossible for me (and I’m sure for most people) to be without a phone for such a long time. What a waste of money.
