Vodacom is trash

On the 7th of February I took my phone(Huawei P8 light) in for repairs via an insurance claim. On the following Tuesday the 12th I went back to check on the progress as I did not have an alternative phone to be contacted on. They (Vodacom Tamboti mall in Randfontein) told me that the it was to early and that the insurance will contact me to advise on whether I need to pay excess or if they will repair the phone, they then said I must come and check that Friday which I did. They told me that they haven't heard from the insurance, this time they gave me a number to call ********** . I tried multiple time to contact this number, it was the automated response with menu options which said click 1 for insurance claim when I clicked on the "waiting" music came on and after a few minutes the phone cut off. I tried it multiple times but got no assistance. So on the Monday of the 17th I went to try and get help no help even then, instead this time I was told Vodacom is switching insurances then yada yada yada. Then the then gave me another, to try their "new" numbers ********** or ********** . Same this as the old number didn't get through. I went to Vodacom again and they stuck to their switching insurance. Finally decided let me buy myself a new phone from pep a nokia 105 for R229 I inserted my new sim in my new phone after an hour or two I got a message from Vodacom that the phone is ready for collection. Then when I got there I was given my phone which was not repaired, and their reason was that I had not used my number or device since May last year. So I asked the guy to go and check the data traffic on my sim card because that phone and sim were on contract and I get a monthly two gig on my phone which I deplete within the first week of every month using this same phone, I also indicated to the Vodacom that phone was my primary phone and that I have a receipt of a brand new phone.

So fellow south Africans how do I resolve this matter?
