Vodacom is the worst network service ever

My contract with Vodacom was due to end at the end of April 2022. I made a cash payment at one of their stores on the 23rd of April and contacted them on the 25th of April to get the cancellation processed. The call centre agent on the 25th failed to provide me with the reference number but assured me it had been done and to expect an sms with the reference number. The sms in question never came. I even asked that I not be billed for May as I need to contract to be terminated. On the next day I sent a message to their social media team on Twitter to try and get the cancellation done . They asked for the number I called and the date and time which I provided. Thereafter they wanted to verify me which I found odd after all they always disclose that their calls are recorded so they could play back the call and provide me with the reference number. They didn’t do this. On the 1st of May , I checked my phone to find that there’s airtime loaded on my phone and a bill on the app for May. I tweeted at their social media team who went back and forth with me over their needing to verify me to which I insisted they call me on the number I had left on direct messages . They didn’t call me. I contacted the customer care line to request a cancellation and the agent informed me that had been initiated on the 25th but wasn't submitted. On the 5th of May, I tweeted again asking about the phone call I had been waiting for. They later informed me that they had tried to contact me but my phone was on busy tone. I was in sight of my phone at the time and hadn’t heard it ring. I inspected the phone and restarted it twice . Thereafter I tried to call their contact centre when a voice prompt informed me that my line had been suspended. I brought this to the social media team’s attention who still wanted to authenticate me which I did and demanded my line to be unsuspended. This was not done. On the 6th May , I was informed by the social media team that my line was suspended because my account was in arrears. I sent them proof of payment for April , the invoice they emailed me for April and a screenshot of their mobile app showing the bill they have for May. They asked for an alternative number to contact me on to which I asked that all communications going forth should be written. I can now not trust them and need proof of everything. They accepted and later asked me to call their accounts department from a vodacom SIM card. This is the most illogical thing I’ve heard in my life - the only vodacom SIM card I own is the one that’s been suspended. I have suffered a huge inconvenience with this brand. Not only did I request the call centre and social media team for cancellation and for their complaints process, from the latter, which was not provided . What was meant to be one call to solve my problem has escalated to myriad of other challenges. I’ve been billed for May for airtime loaded on a suspended line and to further inconvenience me I can’t receive any notifications from my bank nor can I make any purchases online. My line has been suspended on bogus claims to which I provided proof to the contrary but still wasn’t cleared. My only request now is that the bill for May be cleared by themselves, I can’t possibly pay for a suspended line. They can keep the line, I’ll change networks.
