Vodacom is the pits.
I app**** for an upgrade on the 6 April. Was dissatisfied with the deal and phoned to cancel. On 9 April. Was then offered a deal which I accepted. On 14 April, courier called me to say they were at an address that I did not provide. I offered to drive to the address with my documentation but the driver rudely refused. I called Vodacom on the 16th to complain about this. When I did not hear from Ram couriers on the 19th, I called the driver I had spoken to on the 14th. He was working on another area and could not give me an office number. I then called Vodacom and demanded that the matter be attended to. I was told that the phone would be delivered the next morning before 10h00..At 10h00 the next morning, after hearing nothing, I called Vodacom to cancel my contract. They said that I needed to cancel the upgrade first and that it would take 24-48 hours. I called again on 24 April and was told the same thing. Called again on the 25th and was spoken to in a very condescending way that drivers could not leave for deliveries because of the rains that happened between 11-13 April. I pointed out that the courier did come close to my house on 14 April to which the consultant said that others also had to wait, so why couldn't I. To this point, the system still reflects that the upgrade has been app**** for. To add further insult, my phone stopped working and the carrier for the SIM card broke. I went to purchase a SIM swop on 22 April only to discover that Vodacom was offline. I tried numerous times for that day with no success. The incidental costs this ineptitude from Vodacom has cost me thousands of rand's, not including the phone I had to purchase. Even the team that operates their Twitter account has the same attitude. I've been with Vodacom since 1996.
