Vodacom is terrible- stay away. From a “VIP” client
We have been unhappy with Vodacom’s service and pricing for a while now. As a client with 6 different lines spending 10’s of thousands of rand a month (and being told you’re a “Red VIP”) you would imagine differently. When shopping around we realized how expensive Vodacom is. When you do get through to someone (like Thando Mbokazi) in their bytes retention Centre after waiting for an hour on the phone, they promise you the world to try retain you. They try offer more data to beat the competition and promise you all will be activated. You believe them. After days of nothing changing, you all then again. Wait hours on hold. I asked to speak to Thando again. She apologized for nothing changing and promised to call back in 10 minutes as the system was problematic (this is the regular lie they tell you). 1 week later and no changes, no call back from Thando. Upon calling back for a third time, waiting 40 minutes to speak to someone, Thando is awol and after having no progress with the new operator as I try to recount what Thando (Vodacom) promised and didn’t deliver, I get put through to the manager Emmanuel who informs us they can’t do anything as their systems are down. Be very wary of signing into Vodacom. They are expensive and when you realize this and demand competitive pricing, they purposefully keep you in limbo with excuses like system failures and system issues. They have purposefully designed their systems to get you to give up so they can keep charging exorbitant prices
