Vodacom is *****ing and has almost zero customer support or care for that matter.

Hi,

I have been a customer with Vodacom for over 12 years and it has been nearly a month with no assistance to my grievance. Can someone please assist me otherwise I am going to go over to another network because I don’t know what else to do?

· In the month of May I upgraded from the Smart M to the Flexi 500. This was done at the Vodacom Cape Gate 4u Store.

· On the 25th May, I had to leave for a Business Trip from Cape Town to KZN, on the 26th May I purchased 1 Gig for R149. After a few hours the data had still not been loaded which was a problem as I was nearly out of data and did not want to be charged out of data bundle rates but for business purposes still needed to be able to send emails etc from my phone. In the afternoon I finally contacted Vodacom online support and an agent by the name of Bongani assisted me.

· He explained to me that my contract had now entered the “migration” process and that as a result my phone was frozen. (He said that it should be ready by the 01st – meaning for nearly 5-6 days I would not be able to use my phone????) because I could not buy any data packages. I explained to him that this was a huge problem for me as I was out of data and I didn’t understand how my phone could be frozen because of said migration. He explained to me that the store that I did the upgrade should have informed me. They didn’t. He said I would have to go see them. I laughed at this as I was sitting in KZN and that was not possible.

· Bongani then gave me a Reference S3-GV23P-PUOKJ.

· He said that a technician would be in touch with me within 24 hours and at that point they would then activate that bundle for me.

· On the 27th May – I called again to Bongani as I had still not received any support after the 24 hours that Bongani had advised I wait.

· By the Sa****ay, 28th May, I had still no contact from Vodacom. I had run out of data and was now being billed for out of data rates. My account was on about R850 on the 25th May, after purchasing the 1 gig data , my phone bill was nearly at a R1000. By the Monday 30th, my bill was on R1400.

· I still had not received any feedback from Vodocom. I phoned Bongani again. He said he would escalate my ticket and that he was going on leave for a week but that somebody should contact me within that first week of June.

· I waited nearly 2 weeks. I received no feedback. I called again. This time to be told that Bongani had left the company.

· I was then told to please email everything again from fresh to another email address. You can imagine how frustrating this was.

· I then posted to Facebook as well and was given this email address to please take this up.

· I then received an sms yesterday telling me that Vodacom cannot help me and I need to take this up with Vodacom 4u cape gate. Looking up at Vodacom 4U cape gate, I see that they do not have an email address on their website.

I am beyond frustrated. I want Vodacom to refund me the 1Gig data that I purchased and I do not want to pay out of data bundle rates after the 26th May to the 31st, as Vodacom had time to have a tech call me to set up and assist me, but this entire month it has just been me chasing around, being shunted around and just given all these different emails to contact.

I really am hoping someone here is going to assist me because if I get billed for over R1400 end of this month, I am going to go over to another provider as Vodacom is actually *****ing. And I will not leave this here.

So please, if customer service means anything to Vodacom, can someone please assist me.
