VODACOM IS RIPPING ME OFF & THEIR SERVICE IS PUTRID

I took out a contract on 23 July 20 16. All was good and well until the phone I got gave me problems as it was said that the phone's battery is meant to last 2 days but only lasts 6/7 hours max. I returned the phone to be assessed but on 30.07.2016 but was advised the phone would be taken in to be assessed to check for any signs of the phone being neglected /misused for them to grant me a new phone. But I am still waiting even today, I already made my 1st payment but yet I don't even have a phone for the contract I took. Another thing they're RIPPING ME OFF is the 5gig once OFF data they said is a once OFF promotional data bundle. According to them it lasts 30days and does not carry over to the next mont. And the data is allocated to the contract fair and well but how will I be able to use the date without the phone??? I do not have a phone ti even insert the sim to even receive calls/sms's or any communication... what is taking so long to check a phone and give me a new decent phone that actually does what it is said to do in the phamphlet/broucher/phone's description??? I mean I'm basically paying to paying for something I don't even have.... and the SERVICE at the Jabulani mall is pathetic as well.. I asked my spouse to get THEIR banking details so I could Make a cash payment as the i'm not even sure if my account has been debited and she got the run around being sent from pillar to post to get a simple account number to make a payment but no one had even a minute to provide those details in the store at Jabulani mall VODACOM store. I eventually decided to go back to the store in which I purchased the device who at least they managed to help me with the payment details. What does one need to do to get proper service.?. I need to borrow peoples phones to make calls while i'm paying for a phone that I do not have..... fair enough the guys at the Vodacom store in NewTown Junction CBD in Johannesburg advised me of the process of returning a phone with an OBF problem. But I mean does it really take that long to get such a simple matter sorted????
