VODACOM Is Pathetic

After sending a mail to Vodacom I have not received a call even after acknowledging my email. This all took place on the 15 July 2019

I wish to lodge a complaint regarding the disgusting service I received at the Vodashop at Fourways Mall. Upon entering the store I asked the cashier if I could please speak to someone regarding downgrading my contract as it had expired. She directed me to a gentleman in the back right corner who was rather unhappy that I was bothering him while he had earpieces in and was listening to something on his phone. I asked him to please assist as I wanted a downgrade on my contract and he asked me if it was prepaid or contract. He could not hear me and I could not hear him. The reason being that not more than 2 meters away, some staff were having a very loud conversation and not taking into consideration anyone in the store. I asked him to please ask them to move away or be a bit quieter and he ignored me. I then asked him what contracts were available and he said nothing. He had not even logged onto his computer by this time of the morning. I saw a brochure on the counter and asked him if the contracts were listed in it. Yes he said and continued on his computer. I found the available contracts and selected one. Upon asking for the monthly cost he could not help me. Then he looked at the brochure and could not find anything. All I wanted to do was Downgrade and he would not do it. I then left the store. When I got to the car I was angry at the way the staff carried on so I called the store and asked for the manager but was asked what it was about. I said I would rather speak to the manager. He put me onto a person called Andrew who was also not the manager. So I asked for the owner and was told he was not there. When I asked for the owners number he refused to give it as the owner had told them not to give out his number. I then ended the call and thought, if I was an owner of a business, I would want to hear if there were issues as it would assist in improving the quality of customer service.

I am now contemplating moving to a different network after this issue as I felt I had wasted my precious time in going to that store.
