Vodacom is Misleading

To give you some background, I own 2 cellphone contracts with Vodacom and have been paying both on time as per contract agreement. I then upgraded recently as I qualified for a upgrade on one of my numbers. The adverti*****t on the new product was R499, which I was happy with. Included in the deal was a gift (Samsung Galaxy VR gear) from Vodacom and ‘n Educational voucher.

Upon my first payment of the new contract. Vodacom deducted R2572.57 from my account which I reversed as I thought it might be ******* activity. I contacted Vodacom and informed them, whereupon they admitted it was a mistake on their side. I paid them the agreed amount of R756.99 (both contracts) and they were going to correct the issue.

A Few days ago I received a call from them stating that they will list me on ITC as a bad payer if I don’t pay an amount of R1800 (unclear). I told them that they made a mistake and I will pay only what I agreed upon when signing the contract. They then noticed the issue was on their side, but informed me that they will go ahead and list me as a bad payer anyway.

Today while going through my Vodacom bill I noticed the following things too. 1 Their billing me for the Samsung Galaxy VR Gear which they advertised as free/gift and I am also being charged a extra R9.38 for caller ID, which is not a problem. But they never made it clear. The product was advertised as R499. So instead of R756.99 my bill is now over R900. I was a happy customer for over 10years. But I think these were my last contracts with them I am done.
