Vodacom is ****ming customers on DATA

Vodacom Data Transfer Feature Appears Designed to Prevent Customers from Using Their Data

I am extremely frustrated with Vodacom’s handling of a simple request to transfer data that I legitimately purchased.

I bought a 150GB data bundle and wanted to transfer some of that data to another number. However, every time I attempt to do so, I receive the error message: “You do not have transferable bundles.”

When I contacted Vodacom for assistance, I received a different explanation every time:

* First, I was told I could not transfer data to numbers that were not on the same plan. * We verified that the recipient numbers were on the same plan, yet the issue remained. * I was then told that data can only be transferred within three days of expiry. * My bundle was not within that period, yet I still could not transfer the data. * My bundle is now within the 3 days expiry date

There appears to be no clear or consistent criteria for determining whether a bundle is transferable. Instead, I was given conflicting explanations that did not resolve the issue.

I spent over an hour on a call with a Vodacom agent trying to understand why the transfer was failing. After all that time, the agent disconnected the call without resolving the matter or providing any explanation.

My concern is that customers are effectively prevented from using or transferring data they have paid for, while time continues to run down towards expiry. The longer this issue remains unresolved, the greater the chance that the data expires unused.

Since then, I have attempted to request callbacks through the VodaPay app, but I have received no meaningful assistance.

I would like Vodacom to:

1. Clearly explain why my 150GB bundle is allegedly not transferable. 2. Provide the exact terms and criteria that determine whether a bundle can be transferred. 3. Resolve the issue before my data expires. 4. Explain why I was given multiple contradictory reasons by different agents.

Customers deserve transparent information and effective support, not conflicting explanations and unresolved complaints.
