Vodacom is *****ing my credit record!!

I had two contracts with vodacom, one was a top up 071 and another was an open line 072. I called them in May 2014 wanting to change the second one 072 to a top up as well so I can give it to my son, I requested a blackberry. Weeks went by and the phone was not delivered, but I had however given my son the simcard to use knowing very well that it's a top up account. Fast forward to August that year I was told that I owe about R14 000. I called them to find out and I was told that they delivered the phone and couldn't find me so they cancelled the top up upgrade, claiming that it is their policy which I was not even told about. All those months no delivery person called me to deliver any handset as they claim. However they expected me to pay the money. We finally reached an agreement with them that I will pay the money and I also requested that they terminate the 071 top up and give me the full settlement. To show that it was disconnected the 071 number never worked since 2014, I bought a new prepaid simcard. The total worked out to around R19 900, we agreed on payment terms as well. I received a statement monthly showing my balance and I payed it in full. Yesterday I received a call from debt collectors and I was informed that I owe R4600 for my contract, it is apparently diconnection fee or whatever they call it. My question is what disconnection fee did I pay of R5000 when I asked to be disconnected and Why didn't I receive two statements all this time if there is really something that I owe? And my last question is that is vodacom gonna deal with their *********** staff or should I get my lawyer to deal with this?
