Vodacom is ***********/ Worst customer experience
I upgraded one of my lines in May 2019. I received the device 28 May, but the battery was faulty and I could barely get the phone on. I called Vodacom the next day and requested that they collect the phone. They collected the phone 4 June and the phone was back at the warehouse 6 June according to RAM (courier service that collected) they even gave me a Vodacom return number from the warehouse. Thereafter, I decided I'm rather going to cancel the contract that go through the process of getting another phone, etc. Little did I know that It would be harder for me to actually cancel it. Apparently everyone that works at Vodacom doesn't know how to do this. I cant even explain how many times I have called in since 6 June 2019 to date... From agents telling me the device is not at the warehouse when it was there long ago already, to them saying no they have logged the cancellation. Every month I am being charged for a contract I have "cancelled". Every time I call, the new operator says oh they will log a request, only to have me call in once again. I mean 3 months to cancel a contract? Who does Vodacom have working for them if they cannot get a cancellation done. I have most likely spoken to the whole of Vodacom at this point and not one, I even went in at the end of July to sort it out. Honestly, the people are friendly, but I'm questioning their competence. I'm so frustrated, I just want this damn line cancelled and Once again I've been charged end of August for the damn line that I don't use/have. Worst customer experience of my life..
