Vodacom is *********** and unprofessional

Due to numerous accounting and other issues with Vodacom I cancelled my post-paid account in Nov 2017 and ported to another network. I got premature cancellation quotes (two lines), paid it (got proof of payment and faxed all the required documentation to Vodacom and subsequently my Vodacom was ported to another network (whom I have been very happy with ever since). The value of the premature cancellation was R3773.99.

Shortly after the cancellation Vodacom contacted me saying I owed them money since I have not cancelled my account and for the next year I was hounded and harassed. I continually tried to sort the issue out by providing proof of payment via fax and e-mail and have submitted the information numerous times to no avail. I have been receiving text massages and automated voice calls continuously throughout this period at a rate of two a week or more.

On the 28th of December I receive a text message to threaten that I am to be handed over. As I have had very bad experiences with the pathetic Vodacom call centre I decided to go to the Vodacom store in Cresta in an attempt to sort out the issue. And to no surprise I still receive the pathetic service I have received from Vodacom to date and they simply referred me back to the Vodacom Call Centre after THEY were not able to get through to the correct department in the call centre after 20 minutes!! Also during this visit I am told that the original amount of R3773.99 has now grown to over R32,000!!!!!

What do I do now??
