Vodacom is **********

last year on the 14th of October 2016, I woke up to an sms my bank sent and saw vodacom deducted R400 from my account. I called to query this as I do not hold an account with Vodacom

and told them to put my money back & I was told i took out a contract with them. I have not had a contract with Vodacom in years so they told me if i have query about this i have to go to the

police station & file & affidavit and then send it to their forensics as well as a copy of my ID for investigation for a ***** case before they reverse the money. I thought it was unacceptable to

expect me to take time out of my day and go out of my way to do all of this as and it’s a waste of my time. The entire incident is odd to me how did they get my bank account number & my cellphone number ?

if it really is a ********** case, at what point was i contacted by them to pick up any device. So i just contacted my bank to reverse the money. Then A few weeks ago on Saturday i got called by a vodacom

consultant telling me my account is in arrears and it needs to be paid so if i dont want to get black listed I need to pay it up, and i got so mad as I thought me complaining about this the 1st time should be

reason enough to probe an investigation. i said the same thing that they should close that account because its not mine!! Ive been a vodacom client before they have my documents from the 1st time

I opened a contract account with them so if they need anything they should take it there. Now im inconvenienced because of the lack of doing due delligence before opening an account because of

eagerness to make sales & money i will not be inconvenienced by being involved in something that has nothing to do with me. i requested this gets sorted out, im telling them that i dont have an account

and my word should be reason enough to start an investigation instead of waiting for documents. I dont care about their procedures of doing things that account needs to be closed as it has nothing to do with me.

I do not understand how it could be a ****** identity or ***** case, even if it is, how could they allow it to happen when they have my documents from the previous contracts i've had with them before and why

they didn’t make any comparisons. I asked which Vodacom this account was opened and they couldnt tell me. When asked what’s the number of the contract.. again they couldn’t tell me. How & when did they contact

me to collect this new contract phone if they can get hold of me on my current number for account collection but not for the merchandise ? With that said I am complying with the sms that was sent requesting

that I send to tradepartner.adminvodacom.co.za (which is an invalid email address) my 3 signatures and ID copy and I hope this will give clarification and put the issue to rest once and for all as it has become quite a nuisance in my life.

The above is what i sent to Vodacom on the 2nd of February and i received an e-mail back from them with the the refernce number of EC-0BGJ-2E0VSP. After that i was still being pestered with phone calls to make payements to the account that i had repeatedly stated does not belong to me. i then got a call from a Yavir from the account collections departments about a month ago and i gave him the reference number from the auto e-mail which is the only feedback I've received from Vodacom about this case. when will Vodacom have the decency to assign someone to the case and feedback with progress regarding it, as I am at my wits end and I am fed up with receiving phone calls from different consultants regarding and account i DO NOT hold it is frustrating!!!

It has been 6 months and Vodacom is yet to phone me regarding this issue, i believe that i have the right to know how far you are with this issue and if anyone has bothered to look into it at all, its rude and ********* that i report an issue and you do not bother yourself with giving me the necessary feedback. what do i need to do to be acknowledged and get the necessary respect in this regard ?
