Vodacom is ****

Last year my iphone started playing up. It's a contract phone and less than a year old so i took it to the local vodacom outlet in Kokstad. I was asked to fill out my name on a piece of paper an the phone was taken in.I returned a number of times over a period of about two months. Eventually I demenaded that I have an answer to which i was told that they had opened the phone and that the phone had an issues they could not resolve. They said they had not sent it away. I took the phone, which now will not even power up or show anything on screen, and called Vodacom. This was December last year. After explaining the situation in detail i was told not to send the phone anywhere until an investigation had taken place. I waited a month or so and called again. This time i was told my query had not been assigned bit that the issue would be resolved by the end of the week. The last time i called i was told my phone needed to be handed in to a vodacom repair center and that collection arrangements or details would be given to me later that day, this was in January. I called again on 1st February 2018. The lady told me that she would arrange for collection of my phone or tell me where to take it, but again nothing. Today, 7 March, I called again. I insisted on speaking with a supervisor who told me that the number i have been calling for almost half a year can't help with devices or repairs because they only deal with sim cards and that I should be dealing with the repair center. I get through to the repair center and they tell me they cant help me because my phone was never booked for repairs. Does anyone have a contact number for someone who actually knows what they are doing or who gives a hoot?

Thank you for your response. Your suggestion to look for a Vodacom outlet is interesting as this is why I have an issue to begin with. The official Vodacom outlet did not send my phone for repairs. When I reported this I was told to not send my phone anywhere until I had been contacted by Vodacom. This happened on many occasions. I’m sure that I will have that call any day now, it’s only been 6 months that I have been waiting.
