VODACOM IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE!!!

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE PROVIDER!!! THEY ARE OVERPRICED AND PATHETIC!!!!

My Father passed away on the 29th of June 2019. Upon receipt of his death certificate, we forwarded same to Vodacom in order to have the 2 cellphone contracts held under his account, transferred into my mother's name.

This process took much longer than needed, and was delayed due to poor service and communication of behalf of Vodacom. Vodacom then cancelled the service on both phones, to a point where my mother could not make or receive any calls. After numerous phone calls and plenty complaining, we were advised that there was an outstanding amount which had to be settled in order for the account to be transferred into my mother's name.

We thus settled the amount, and sent proof of payment through. Vodacom then took 4 days to unblock the service from the phones. I repeat, pathetic.

Since then, both phones are working, but we have now received 3 e-mails from Vodacom saying that there is a further amount to be paid on the deceased's account. This makes no sense whatsoever. Not one person has had the courtesy of giving us a call, despite numerous requests. Therefore, I gave the Vodacom legal department a call. They advised that the account was declared deceased on the 17th of July 2019, however, we now have an amount of +/- R 380,00 to pay for costs incurred prior to the account being declared deceased.

This makes ZERO sense, as the lady further advised that the two invoices which make up the R380 are dated 5 August 2019 and 20 August 2019. How the hell is this possible??

We then received a statement that says we owe over R 2000,00, which is completely unexplained.

2 days later, Vodacom just TAKES R2300 from my mothers account.

We lost our breadwinner and they believe they are entitled to ***** money from us???

I am disgusted!!!

I can guarantee you that I will never recommend Vodacom to another person. I am utterly appalled at the service we have received.
