Vodacom is acting dishonestly

I can only imagine how many other people they’re ****ming. I signed a 3-year contract with them that was supposed to end on 27 October 2025. Knowing that if I didn’t give notice they would automatically move me to a month-to-month plan (which I did not want), I contacted Vodacom on 29 July 2025 to give notice.

I was told I could only give notice when there were 2 months left on my contract. Frustrated, I waited and then contacted them again on 3 September, but was told it was still “too early in the month.” I made it clear that I wouldn’t keep calling and that they should respect the terms of the contract I signed.

Later, since I needed to take out contracts with other service providers, I called again on 10 October and was informed that my notice had only been recorded on 15 September. To my surprise, this morning (7 November 2025) I received an SMS stating that my balance for account I*** is R347.99.

I no longer wish to be a Vodacom customer. Cancel my contract immediately as I placed the notice in advance and reverse any charges or activities I did not agree to. I am not going to pay R347.99 for the services I no longer use. I have fulfilled my contract, which I regret entering if this is how you treat your customers—stop being greedy.
