Vodacom is a *****

I had a contract with Vodacom since 2007.

My last contract was for the amount of R598.00 p/m.

After several occasions of bad service received from Vodacom I decided to go for the Cell C buyout.

I requested the premature cancellation quote on the 5th of October 2016 from Vodacom and received a quote in the amount of R2, 755.76.

The necessary quote was sent to Cell C which also included permission to port my Vodacom number to Cell C.

The port between Vodacom and Cell C occured on the 31st of October 2016. This entails that my Vodacom simcard could no longer be used and I therefore destroyd this sim card.

On the 7th of November 2016 Vodacom deducted an amount of R2,525.80. I thought that this amount was for the final settlement in order to cancel the contract as permitted in the buy-out documentation, but to my surprise Vodacom again deducted the monthly premium of R598.00 in December and January 2017. I am basically billed for a simcard and number on Vodacom network which no longer exists.

When I consulted Vodacom regarding this they could not find my number on there system only my ID number and they informed me that thihs contract was not yet cancelled and that the amount of R2525.80 was the monthly premium for October 2016. According to Vodacom my data usage for October alone was R1,535.74.

They informed that I must pay a further R1899.00 in order to get this contract cancelled.

I have consulted the Secunda branch to request an itemised bill on the data usage for October without any success. According to the system I do not have itemised billing and that my contract is an open contract which meand there is no limit.

I know for a fact that my phone was soft locked at several occassion due to my limit being reached. I have contacted Vodacom in the past several times to increase my limit with R100 just to get the soft locked removed for the remainder of the month.

Since 2007 I have never in my life received a cellphone bill of more than R1200.00. How is it possible to all of a sudden after requesting a cancellation quote and after porting my number to Cell C have a bill in the amount of R2525.80??

Who removed the limit on my contract without my consent??And how is it possible that Vodacom can not send me the detail of my data usage??

This is totally unacceptable. I will go out of my way to tell as much people as I can to avoid Vodacom as far as possible. I also read several unhappy Vodacom customers reviews on News 24. Vodacom is clearly currently *****s. *****s who ***** our money without providing any proof.
