Vodacom is a greed network that makes life difficult for its clients.

I have an account with vodacom, phone number is ********** 699. Vodacom migrated my plan twice, the first in August from a 2gig package to a 500mb package and then to a 200rands airtime package. However the last package is not the one I wanted as I in fact wanted a lower package and it was not explained to me that my monthly installment would in fact go up, which it did. I ended up paying 392rands a per month up from 236rands per month, something I cannot afford. I called again to recrify that and this time I was told my account had a flag due to a ***** so I must go to a vodacom shop with my ID. I did that by going to a vodacom shop in Bethlehem which is 200kilometers from where I stay. At the shop the consultant said they couldn't help me as the mistake in migration had been done by call centre so I must call the call centre. I told them that the call centre won't help me as they refer me to a shop but they would have none of that.

I called the call centre and this time I was helped by a manager who suggested that the migration be reversed to an original package which won't result in me incurring migration charges. However after 2 days I received a message that the backoffice refused to process the migration due to the flag on my account/profile.

It must be remembered that I am the one who requested the flag in the first place in August of 2017 when someone attempted to port my number to MTN. However what suprises me is that Vodacom has already done migrations for me twice already without mentioning the flag. But when. I want to pay less than what they have now given me, then they raise the issue of the flag.

The bottom line is vodacom is a greed network that wants to makr money from me. I can't afford to pay 392 rands which they are expecting me to pay. The result....I won't pay because I cant afford it. They should have explained to me that i would be paying that much when they gave me the qoute for migration which they didn't. I would have made an informed choice.
