VODACOM - Invalid Credit Bureau reporting and BAD Customer service.
I have been battling for months now to rectify a problem with vodacom. I made numerous calls to their call centre. They handed me over to a debt collector and I explained to the debt collector my situation, they went back to Vodacom and short after I received an SMS from Vodacom that my query was resolved and closed. No further communication was received from Vodacom or the Debt Collector.
In the time past, Vodacom never contacted me, send me any communication regarding the matter at hand or either contacted me via phone or SMS.
Shortly I found out that I am listed at the Credit Bureau for an outstanding amount at Vodacom. I contacted their legal department to clarify the matter. Their response, they can't help me because I am handed over to Debt Collector. Another one this time.
I have supp**** them with my Account number, ID no all relevant Reference numbers as received from Vodacom with the one received from them on 14 November 2019 that the matter was closed and resolved. They can't even find it, all they can say is that I am handed over.
Thereafter I have send emails to this Debt Collector and CC'ed Vodacom's legal department everytime I forwarded it to this Debt Collector and up to date did not received a response from either. I am just blatantly ignored.
See attached emails:

Good day
Please see attached emails.
I would like to know what is happening here. Vodacom does not seem to know what is happening in their own books or company. Maybe you can assist. Sounds like you are the second debt collector to tackle the same non-existing debt after I was informed by them that the case was resolved and closed.
This thing is dragging for more than a year now. Then I owe, then I don't owe. Then am I handed over to the debt collectors, then I am not. They either can not do there job, does not know how to do there job or otherwise are they just there for the paycheck.
They cannot explain where and why I supposedly am owing them this money, I have requested them to motivate and explain, called their Call Centre numerous times, send them all the reference numbers received for each call I have made, asked for transcripts which I never received and at the end of the day received the SMS - Vodacom Ref No: *** on 14 November 2019 that the case was resolved and closed.
Now, when Nedbank informed me that I am listed at the Credit Bureau for outstanding monies and requested Vodacom to clarify and rectify this, I here that I am handed over to another debt collector. No documentation to inform me, no request or invoices, just hand it over to someone else to do their dirty work which they do not know how to do.
As I said to the previous debt collector, they should provide me with the proof where and how I owe them this money, which I up to date did not receive and how can they send me a message that the case was resolved and closed and thereafter give over to the next person.
Please reflect your view and inform me accordingly
Regards
Michael Aucamp
