Vodacom Insurance Ripoff - Buyer Beware

Complaint about Vodacom Insurance I took out Vodacom Accidental Damage Insurance on my Phone approximately 4 years ago on phone number ***. Last August I accidentally dropped my phone and damaged the screen badly. I was away at the time and managed to borrow another Samsung Phone to use. I put my 2 sim cards / Vodacom and Rain into the borrowed phone. Now when I went into the store at Vodacom Oakfields in Benoni, I was informed that Vodacom Insurance have rejected the claim due to the fact that: - 1) I removed the Vodacom Sim card 2) They are unable to trace any usage on the phone (EMEI number) which I dispute as it was my only phone. I always only used WhatsApp for calls and never made Vodacom calls but did receive calls. It is my word against theirs about using the phone and Sim Card but they expect me to prove that I used the phone and are unable to provide any proof despite their unwarranted claim. I have paid the insurance every month without fail and now insist that my phone be repaired as per the insurance I have paid for.
