Vodacom Insurance ****ming people
Vodacom insurance ****ming people.
I have three contracts with Vodacom. I lost a phone on the 15th of September and submitted my claim documents, which they declined on the basis of usage. Apparently their records show that the phone was last used in September 2022 instead of September 2023. I dont even know how is this possible but one of the consultants said the date error might be on their side.
Now they are saying they cannot assist because the insurance condition is that the phone and simcard must not be inactive for more than 7 days. Of which, it wasnt but Vodacom insist it was. I asked them to send me proof and they tell me they cannot, but their records show that the simcard was last in a different phone and not the phone i am claiming for.
I refuse to accept this as i was and have been paying my premiums consistently since i had the phone. I have been using contract insured phones for more than 10 years and i have never used nor own a simcard from a different service provider.
If they cannot approve my claim, then they need to refund me my premiums back. One consultant had the nerve to tell me to cancel the insurance then, after paying almost R4 000 in premiums for nothing? Never!
Vodacom will need to do a though investigation to check why on their side the last usage date is September 2022 instead of September 2023.
