Vodacom insurance is of no use!!

When I upgraded my contact I was offered comprehensive device insurance. I took up this offer as I thought this would be a good idea. My camera then stopped working so I called the claims department, opened a claim, received a CLM number and took the device to the Vodacom store in Watercrest. A few days later, I received an SMS to come and collect the device. I expected to get there and pick up a repaired device - isn't that what I pay insurance for? I got to the store where the device was handed back to me and I was told it was beyond repair... I then asked why they were giving me the broken device back and surely the insurance I pay should cover this? No one had any answers, nothing!! I was then asked to speak to another lady on the phone who told me the same thing the device was beyond repair, I then asked what I was paying insurance for, and she rep**** by stating she didn't know I had insurance and she would need to investigate and come back to me. Days later I am still waiting for an answer and Vodashop in Watercrest don't answer their telephone ...
