Vodacom Insurance incompetence

Dear Peter. Please HELP!

I have an issue with Vodacom SA and I need your assistance. I've been a Vodacom customer for almost a decade, I've had cellphone contracts with the company from 2 ********** and again in 2018. My issue is that I've recently lost a cellphone which was on contract, and which I was under the impression that it was insured with Vodacom cellphone insurance. It was on Friday 22/03/2019 when I went to Matlosana Mall vodashop to go lodge a claim and get a new cellphone, I discover I cannot claim because the cellphone was never insured. Why was it not insured? The insurance was cancelled, Vodacom took to their own devices unbeknownst to me and cancelled my insurance contract stating that I had not submitted all the required documents for them to process my insurance application. This is a contradiction and untrue, because the consultant I dealt with initially when making a purchase, reprinted everything and therein was all the documentation including that which they argue was not submitted (proof of purchase, this was on 28/07/2018. Meaning they failed to process my application despite my efforts to insure that my phone was secured. I've been battling with Vodacom since Friday and no-one has come to my aid, no-one is willing to provide a solution to my query, everytime I get in contact with Vodacom, I am placed on hold for extensive periods of time only to be given the same information with no resolution and when I demand a resolution the phone is hung up in my ear. My initial attempt to have this addressed was on 27/03/2019 to date my issue is still not resolved by Vodacom, can you please HELP Peter and resolve this issue. Yours sincerely Ratanang Seleke
