Vodacom Insurance "FINE PRINT"

I would like to inform as many people as possible especially parents about Vodacom's "fine print". My dad renewed his contract and got an iphone XR. Vodacom asked him if he wanted to take out insurance and he said yes. The phone was too advance for him and he gave it to me, his daughter, to use.I had my sim card in the phone from the first day my dad had his contract renewed with Vodacom. Last week his phone broke and I gave him back his iphone XR. Unfortunately the day he had the phone it got ******, as he left it in his office. We reported the iphone ****** to Vodacom. A few days later Vodacom Insurance comes back with a story...... Because his sim card was not in the phone, Vodacom can not replace his ****** iphone!! Vodacom's "FINE PRINT" in the contract states, that the phone is only insured if the sim card of the contract is in the phone.Do we insure the sim card or the phone??Parents please make sure you don't insure your phone with Vodacom Insurance cause they are very well aware that as parents and spouses we give our phones to each other to use. Our kids are victims of syndicates that prey on them at school sports activities and ***** from their bags. You pay insurance for the phone that has value not the SIM CARD. Our iphone XR was physically ****** by an opportunistic ***** but I wonder who the real ***** if here!!!
