Vodacom Insurance

I had a Samsung S21 which I have a contract with Vodacom. I did my upgrade in Sept2021 and my phone got ****** yesterday. so which means I only had the phone for 2 months. I did take out insurance on my phone when I did my upgrade, so when I phoned the insurance department to log a claim they said that I have a Samsung A12 and is only covered for R2000.00 and as we all know the S21 is much more. I emailed them the proof of upgrade and they told me that my phone was underinsured and that the Vodacom shop canceled the wrong amount... but when I view my statement shows that I am covered for R15000 - R20 000.00. So now I am fighting to get the correct amount paid out to me as they claim that I am underinsured

Reviewer Update
I got a message from Vodacom claims department last night stating that the claim cannot be done as my policy needs to be updated. (Exact words from email:
I fully understand, but we won't be able to the claim under R3500 policy it needs to be updated. )
This morning I phoned Vodacom again regarding my claim and got through to another person who was able to help me. My claim got approved on the amount that I was insured on as per my invoice in about 15min time. This is a person who knows how to do her work and her Name is Lumka. Thank you Lumka for assisting me in this matter. I don't know if the previous person got the wrong account and information which I highly doubt as I have emailed everything through to her.

But thanks Lumka at Vodacom for helping me sort out my claim.
