Vodacom insurance decline

I paid offf my contract on 13 March '26 and i did not cancel the insurance. on the 2nd of April, i was ****** at gunpoint and they took the 2 phones (Work & personal), money and other valuables. I called insurance for the phone and only learnt on the call that my insurance was cancelled. The latest primium was paid on the 25th March'26, it was a shock to me that i am not insured. After a lot of back and forth vodacom refused to pay the phone (I have never missed the premium payment since 2024 October to the incident date). On the 9th of April 2026 they sent a confirmation SMS that my insurance policy has been removed after they declined my claim. They did not send that SMS before i sent the claim, that is the communication i should have recieved when they cancelled the insurance.
