Vodacom Insurance con

On a Friday afternoon out of the blue I get an SMS congratulating me on my iPhone 7 and they advise that my insurance will be active from 2/7 (this is Sunday). I upgraded in February already, so the timing was a bit strange. When I got my new iPhone I declined the insurance Vodacom offered.

Like most people, I almost ignore this SMS as spam, but I decided to phone the number. The number goes through to Cellsure obo Vodacom. I was advised that they send the SMS with the effective date in the future so you can have a chance to phone in if you don't want it. What nonsense is this!!!!????? I clearly declined cover in February and if I didn't pay attention to this SMS, they would have deducted money from my account.

I will be reporting this to the FSB as I cannot even imagine how many people they con like this. I had to tak time out of my day to sort this because they are *********. What happened to TCF???
