Vodacom Insurance Cancellation
I needed to cancel my insurance on my phone contract as I felt this was not worth it in the long run.
I went to the Vodacom store and then advise me that I needed to CELLSURE to cancel.
I had a chat with customer service, she email me a cancellation form which I submitted to the prescribed email address and thought that was the end.
I sent this email with my completed form on the 14th of March 2019.
Thereafter, I noted I was still being billed from insurance.
I went back to the store and explained the issue.
They provided me with FINRITE contact number as they had taken over from CELLSURE and again they could not assist further.
Further they were unable to assist me with the cancellation despite me taking out my insurance at the store itself…………seems strange.
I called FINRITE which took atleast 2 hours to get on line and spoke to the consultant.
I requested a cancellation and she said she had cancelled it via the telephone.
I asked for an email as proof on cancellation and this was sent to me on the 29th of April 2019.
I have checked my statements and I am still being billed for this.
Its almost R200 per month and its now the end of May with no resolution.
As a last resort, I am going to put a hold onto my debit order and maybe then Vodacom will assist me with this cancellation.
Absolutely shocking service from both Vodacom and FINRITE.
Been a customer since 2003 and its about time I found someone who would provide value to me as a customer.
Please assist.
