Vodacom Insurance
To say I am disaapointed and annoyed at the service I'm receiving from Vodacom Insurance would be an understatement. I have been insured for over 2years and I have never claimed before a consistent payer with no defaults at that. Now that I have to claim, I am now suddenly being under insured because I'm refusing to take a second hand device. Vodacom is treating people differently because my cousin, did the exact same claim from the same model device with no hassles. As a matter of fact I was even paying more than she is yet my access fee is R5000 more than hers because I'm refusing to take an IRD device which my sister wasnt treated the same. I've been going back and forth with Vodacom and I'm tired of contacting them everyday for the same thing, all Consultants are completely clueless because theyve all said different stories when I asked what the difference between my sisters claim and I was. One was even classis to say my sisters claim was successful because her profile is better Tha. Mine. Which doesn't even make sense because I actually pay more yet someone had the audacity to go on to the vodasure profile to change my indemnity limit forgetting I have proof of when I was insured to up to R20 000, all of a sudden it went down to R17000. What I'm failing to understand is why customers are being ****** and then forced to take 2nd devices just so they can get rid of their aging stock. I'm an unhappy customer and I demand answers as to why clients are not being treated the same when they pay for a service. I'm tired of this back and forth and I need a phone ASAP. What I will not do is be forced to take a 2nd hand device, be under insured and I will not pay R7000 access fee when someone paying less than I do paid way less for the same phone
I will need them to go into detail about what my profile is, patterns are as what my circumstances are

Kindly assist me with my claim, as a sales consultant myself I lost my device an Apple IPhone 13 256GB which was insured at the value of R20200 and I am paying R306.13 per month for my insurance (Invoice attached) effective from the 22nd of March 2022 with no previous claims. I recently made a claim for my device for a replacement on an Apple IPhone 15 256GB however it says that my Excess fee is R2586 with a betterment fee of R5967.93. Now my problem comes when my sister walks in store for a claim very similar to mine. My sister *** lost exactly the same device as me an IPhone 13 256GB which was insured to the value of R20200 however my sister only payed R213.49 which is R92.64 less than what I've been paying rightfully putting her in a different band as I am. According to my understanding as a consultant of over 6 years meaning being under the R20200 value I've been under insured. My sister managed to get an Apple IPhone 15 256GB at an excess fee of R3018 and betterment of R821.73.So I need to understand how is it that a person paying close to R100 less than I am qualifies for an Apple IPhone 15 256GB at a cheaper Excess and betterment fee and I do not someone who according to vodacom is insured at a lesser band than I am. Now I am being told I need to get a second hand device whereas I bought a brand new device at the store and not a second hand device. What makes matters worse is that after my numerous calls and those of the consultant assisting me (from Tuesday the 3rd of September 2024 till Thursday the 5th of September2024) to query this vodasure then decreased the value of my phone to R17238.07 this morning the 6th of September 2024 meaning that i'm being ****** even further because then I've been paying for band 9 (R20001-R25000) insurance but covered till band 8 (R15001-R20000). If that is the case the vodasure has to back pay me for the past 2 and a half years that I've been paying extra on my insurance. I have attached both claims as proof and both invoices to collaborate my story.I really hope this finds you well and can be resolved without having to call in for outside assistance regarding the matter. I need clarity as to why someone paying insurance band 8 (R15001-R20000) qualifies for a device at the value of band 9 (R20001-R25000) but I a customer that's been paying for band 9 (R20001-R25000) does not qualify for a device that has a VSP cost of R17019I cannot afford to pay R8400 and I NEED PHONE ASAP ,i was told that the Team Leader would call me and im still waiting im tired of the bickering and the back and forth. I cannot be ****** further.
I am now being told that each Insurance is catered for individual needs. I've asked for a copy where I signed on the terms and conditions that my premium will be more because I'm a high risk to no assistance
