Vodacom insurance

I made a claim with Vodacom insurance, the claim was approved on the 18/11/2019. I went to my nearest Vodacom shop to go collect a phone. I got to Vodacom and I was told that the phone I had insured which was the iPhone 8 plus is no longer stocked by Vodacom. Fine. I choose another phone which is less than what my claim got approved for, the phone is also out of stock. Oh okay. Now the options which are left are more than the R15000. Now I am told that I will be liable to pay the shortfall plus excess. Why? I asked for the phone I insured, I am not the one who wants a better phone. My phone is not available, which should not be my problem. I would understand if I was the one who does not want the insured phone but want a better one. I am told that there is nothing that can be done and I will have to pay the shortfall plus excess. I don't have a problem paying for the excess, what I have a problem with is the shortfall because I am not that one who does not have the phone in stock. Then I was given an option of the iPhone 11. At the store I was the cash price for the phone including VAT and everything else is R14999, the lady from insurance tells me on their side the phone is R16000+. How do you work with a certain company and the prices differ. If I am at a certain store claiming for a phone from them, how can you tell me that the price on your side is higher. Do I not go to a store, pick up the Phone and the store will invoice insurance? Why do you need to com e up with your own prices? So I have been given the run around since Monday and I am told that I have 6 days or else I forfeit my claim. And I am still waiting for the copy of my contract that I requested on Monday.
