Vodacom Insurance
I have been a Vodacom Client for more than 12 years, never had any problems until now! In November 2022 I did 2 upgrades, one for me and one for my husband. Later they phoned me regarding insurance for our new devices. I agreed with the understanding that both phones will be covered for damage and theft, seeing that my husband's phone got ****** a previous time in 2021, when we only had accidental damage cover. I even send new documentation to change the insurance to comprehensive cover after we bought him a new phone cash, but looks like this was never done. Now it happened again that my husbands phone was ****** from out his car while still talking on the phone, but it appears that his phone is still only covered for accidental damage and not comprehensive cover. I have phoned *** numerous times the last 2 week, requesting the recording of the phone call where they sold the insurance to me. When you phone the call starts with the message that all calls are recorded and can be made available upon my requets, but clearly they don't abide by that rule. Can it be so hard to send me the recording? We really need this sorted out. I am not willing to pay for something if I don't get any valuable service back. For the past 3 years having the insurance, I have not made a claim for anything, but now when I do, they cannot even assist me properly. My husband and I both have the same phones with the same data contracts. It was more important for me to have the comprehensive cover on my husbands phone, as he is travelling a lot for work, and more at risk for his phone being ******. Now they have done it the wrong way around. With all due respect, stop your call centers from making sales over a phone, it leaves to many gaps for misunderstanding. Get an insurance representative at each Vodacom branch who can assist you in person. Please help me sort out this matter. I need that recording to see who was at fault, me or Vodacom!
