Vodacom Insurance

I have been a loyal Vodacom subscriber for over ten years with all the drop call issues and crazy expensive data rates that is associated with Vodacom. But my last experience with their insurance provider Cellsure has left me with a bad taste and looking for a new service provider.

I recently put in a claim for a cracked screen and was told my claim was rejected because my SIM wasn't in the phone within a certain time of putting the claim in. I purchased the phone and insurance in 2015 and based on their policy then http://www.vodacom.co.za/vodacom/terms/promotions/vodacom-summer-screen-insurance-policy there was no requirement for having the SIM in the phone. I was told by the consultant that it was updated in 2016, which I was unware off.

I asked how did this apply to me as I signed up in 2015 on a different policy and was told that is how it is. I said I would then move my business because I have been loyal paying customer and I am not receiving the service I pay for. He then said if you don't like it I can move my business somewhere else.

I was told a Manager would phone me and till today only consultants have spoken to me that have provided no support or service and just telling me send a mail.

I will be taking my business somewhere else because I do not for see Vodacom resolving this matter.
