Vodacom - indirectly *****s from us through their unreasonab billing

I did an online upgrade with Vodacom June 2019 and without note from my side I mistakenly chose open bill contract to which I picked up on first month of usage which was July.

I then called Vodacom to inquire why the airtime wasn't cutting off as usual and I was told its open bill - alright I requested for the contract to be changed as advise I could not afford it however made commitment to pay the bill showing im taking accountability from my side but pleaded for the change wgich I was advised it converted.(July Paid )

Then in August the line would cut everyday at 6pm and I had to call Vodacom to unlock on a daily basis while stranded, same concept as above mentioned "pleading for migration which I was promised " but clearly didn't as bill went twice higher. I pleaded again as I pay the bill for August. (August Paid)

Then come September -with knowledge that Vodacom has sorted the issue out turns out it hasnt - month end bill comes as almost 4k which I queried still and I was sms'd that certain portion would be accredited as it was system error from Vodacom and whoever I spoke to confirmed the several calls I made for migration and said somehow the system changed it back though its appearing that at somepoint it was converted which I was told this in August too though difference here there's a portion of around R1222 something being accredited and sms'd that's how issue will be resolved and query closed.

I called again to ask how do they close a query like that meanwhile its a mistake from their side surely a 50% accredited can be better and whoever I spoke to told me they will inquire and revert back to me which didnt happen instead I had to follow up again as they just close query unresolved yet again.

In the meantime im not getting any of the benefits e.g data/airtime as the line is softlocked to a point where I cant even send a call back.

Come 2020 still at it again I follow up and im told under investigation.

I think around March - I started getting sms that states im under pre-legal and again I call to find out how an unresolved query ends at legal and is accruing then I was told they will investigate.

Alright atleast the lady came back to me to which unfortunately was inconvenient time but I provided where I will be home for us to chat but at that time she forgot and called yet another inconvenient time which I again advised relevant time to call which didn't happen rather I received an sms closing the query saying they tried getting hold of me with no luck.

- I called to follow up yet again and the circle was the same 'will investigate then boom sms stating Vodacom will close query because it was online upgrade.(now I felt really defeated and devasted because the online upgrade issue has been discussed already in July and supposed to have been resolved and now we were supposed to be dealing with the system error and the bill.

During the time of lockdown I get another sms about account been handed over to lawyers with an amount close to 12k "wow I queried 4k to end with 12k" how nice.

I follow up - now im in between customer care - collection - legal and lawyers and noone can explain what needs to be done.

Althoug I must mention some lady I spoke to on the 13.05.2020 tried her best to assist by trying to coordinate with above departments unfortunately to no help.

Customer care says sales department needs to resolve query Collections says after 3months of non payment we handover to legal Legal says go back to customer care that's their issue to resolve Customer care now says account handed over to vvm communicate with them for assistance. VVM is investigating and will provide feedback within 14days I was told.

Meantime I dont have a line (noone can call in n I cant call out)

Trully im frustrated and need advise - its been 8months of this back n forth with no solution

Thank you so much and I’m aware the account is at your legal department which is one of the concerns I raised as to how did it end there with contested bill unresolved.
