Vodacom Incorrectly Listed Me as a Bad Payer
**Complaint Title:** Vodacom Incorrectly Listed Me as a Bad Payer
**Complaint:**
***-1 Number: ***
I am writing to express my profound disgust and disappointment at being incorrectly listed as a bad payer on my credit record by Vodacom.
Approximately six months ago, I formally cancelled the contract associated with the above number due to persistent and unacceptable lack of proper network coverage in the service area where my mother-in-law resides. Vodacom’s own technician confirmed the poor coverage.
Despite assurances that the cancellation procedures would be correctly followed, Vodacom has unjustifiably reported me as having missed payments. This has resulted in a detrimental listing on my personal credit profile, which is now negatively affecting my ability to obtain credit and manage my finances.
This action is unacceptable and constitutes a serious error on Vodacom’s part. A negative credit listing is a severe matter, and I demand that Vodacom immediately:
- Investigate this matter thoroughly and identify the source of the erroneous listing. - Rectify my credit record with all relevant credit bureaus by removing the incorrect bad payer/missed payment markers. - Provide written confirmation via email within 7 days that the rectification has been completed and all negative listings have been withdrawn.
I have tried numerous times to contact Vodacom to resolve this issue, but the call center is extremely difficult to reach. When I finally managed to speak to Cerlina Mjoli in the Collections department, she rudely cut the call on me after I explained the situation.
Vodacom’s customer service is appalling, and their lack of accountability is unacceptable. If this matter is not resolved immediately, I will escalate my complaint to the relevant regulatory bodies and seek legal advice.
This incorrect listing has already caused me significant stress and financial harm. I have been declined for essential credit applications, which has disrupted my ability to manage household expenses and plan for future commitments. The reputational damage of being labeled a “bad payer” is deeply unfair, and Vodacom’s negligence has placed me in a position where my financial credibility is being unjustly questioned
