Vodacom Incompetence leaving customers helpless
After an unathorised renewal of my contract, Vodacom proceeded to refuse to cancel the contract until I stopped paying and then they listed me. Concerned about my credit rating and history I paid the account and requested them to provide me with a paid up letter. This is where the story becomes fun. Once account has been paid they acknowledged the unauthorised renewal and cancelled the contract, however to cancel the contract I must call in and the account must first be reactivated before its cancelled, of course this took another 2 days to do. Now that the account has been cancelled it will take them 24 hours to log a call to admin to issue a paid up letter and another call to ITC to clear my name which of course will take at least 30 days. Finally admin has received the request for a paid up letter 48 hours later and not 24, and now it will take them 5 days to issue a paid up letter. (I forgot to mention the great time and experience I had at Vodaworld customer service where I spent another 3 hours trying to get this paid up letter only to be told admin works until 4pm and there is nothing they can do for me - I suppose they think I just had time to burn in their digital mall. To say the customer services manager was useless would be an understatement so I wont say much about her). Where was I? This has now been ongoing since November 2018, fast forward to today still no paid up letter (R 400.00) and I am soon to be homeless because of incompetence of Vodacom - R 400.00. I am posting this here because Vodacom does not have any proper or efficient customer complaints system. I have never felt so disempowered as how I felt on friday at vodaworld. In deed Vodacom is the worst of the big 3 mobile phone companies I have ever dealt with. I hope that one day in this life time I will be able to get this paid up letter. For now I remain help less.
