Vodacom: INCOMPETENCE and NOSERVICE to loyal costumer.

Upon receiving a sms of a sim swop that has been done - I phone Vodacom as I had no knowledge about such. (Tuesday 25 July round 16:30) After more than an hour and a half on the phone, being put through from costumer care to solutions department - to one consultant to the next (Suggestion that Vodacom should rename the solutions department to the "Make promises that can't be kept with no solutions whatsoever “department perhaps call the very rude solutions manager the “*********** NOsolutions manager” . The promise was made to deliver a new sim card to my given address the following morning. (26 July 2017) Of course nothing happened. The following day after endless time on the phone I was told to rather go to a Vodacom shop and get a new sim card at no cost as the note on the system will indicate such. This quarries should be resolved in 7 -14 days. Really???

Please be reminded that:

1) This was not due to any erroneous doing from our side!

2) A 13 year old not being able to get hold of her parents.

3) Parents who can't get hold of their daughter.

4) Working parents who can't just pop into a Vodacom store during working hours.

5) Loyal customers who for almost two decades pay their accounts timeously.

6) Hours of productivity lost on wasting time on the phone with your “No solution” department.

7) This has cause severe stress for our family not being able to sort out logistics not being able to get hold of my daughter.

8) At least 5 hours of worktime lost - equites to at least an income loss of R2 500

9) And the cost of a new sim card.

10) No almost a week that I do not have telephonic contact with my child!

Of course when I was able to pop into the Vodacom store (Campus square Auckland Park) on Sunday morning, (30 July) I was told there is no such thing that I can get a sim card at no charge. As a desperate parent I bought a new discard and was told the phone will be active in 2-4 hours.

But why I had my hopes up was fairly naïve from me because even after 24 hours the message still say …Your phone is not register on the network. After another call and another promise I was told it will defined work now…. But no success yet!

Due to Vodacom *********** service it leaves me NO choice to move to another more trustworthy network where maybe our numbers will be protected against ********** sim swops and our innocent costumers treated with respect and competent solutions. It is a pity that such a strong service provider treats their loyal costumers with no respect and no solutions.
