Vodacom incapable to come and pick up unwanted phone

I cannot believe for the life of me why Vodacom, supposedly the best and biggest provider in South Africa, is unable to organise a pick for a phone I have been wanting to return to them for 2 weeks. I ordered an upgrade and when I received it, I decided the next day this is not for me so called Vodacom upgrades department. They processed my return and tol me soeone will come in 3 days. Th 3 days pass and noone has come. I call Vodacom and am told that the request had not been loaded so we do nother one (Monday) and am told it will be picked up. I call 3 days later, still no ***** up and apparently request was loaded into system but somehow not processed so we start again. Fast forward a week later ... guess what? Nothing. I called the courier company, RAM, who are helpless unless one gives them a Vodacom reference number, which Vodacom tell me they dont have and that I should use my ORIGINAL tracking number for when I received the phone. Madness as RAM tells me that is not right at all. Vodacom are now trying to process for the 4th time ... we are now almost 15 days since I received the phone which I do not want. I have been a client for 12 years ... may be I should just go and sign up with Cell C as I hear they have improved their services tremendously -- given what I am experiencing with Vodacom, how bad could it get?
