Vodacom in cahoots with third party ********??
Kruger Lötter I recently saw other Vodacom customers complaining about being mislead in buying a 10 Gig sim to have the data added to their daily use phones. I have had exactly the same situation, date 31 May 2019. Received a call from a Vodacom Rewards representative, or someone saying they represent Vodacom, who had all my information available to them, offering me two 10Gig sims at R159 each. I was told, seeing that I top up with data quite often, this would be a better option as I will be able to transfer the 10 Gig data on the sim to my current number and by selecting "reoccurring" amongst the options, this additional 10 Gig data will be added to my phone's data every month. Based on this I agreed to buy the additional sims and have it delivered by RAM couriers, but when confirming this with Vodacom customer care today, I was told this is not possible. Surely it will be on record who the sales agents were who gave this wrong information, but I was then given a run around saying I can cancel the contract now, but seeing that the sims are not activated yet, they cannot see who the sales agents were. The only way to get that information was to activate the sims as all the information will then reflect on your system, but the downside is I will then be billed for the contracts. Effectively I can opt out at no cost, but without any information on who ****med me, or I continue with the contracts and get the info. This sounds like a cover-up from Vodacom if you ask my opinion. People are ******** your loyal customers and when we demand to know who the ******** are, the information is cleverly withheld. I think I deserve more as a loyal Vodacom customer since 1994. I then called again, spoke to another consultant and was told to simply refuse the delivery when the couriers deliver it tomorrow, as they cannot cancel the order now. Again I was told I could not get information on the sales person who sold the sims to me. Why the cover-up? I am very disappointed in Vodacom, firstly by giving out my information to Rewards (whom I was told by your client services consultant, is an independent sales company outside Vodacom) and then protecting these people by disallowing information about them after it was clear that the ****med your customers. It creates the impression that you are in cahoots. The number I received the call from was ********** 509. Who are they, what is their affiliation with Vodacom, why do you protect them, why do you give my information to them and how are you going to resolve this to prevent more of your customers being ****med?
