Vodacom - Imaginary Service/ No support for Essential Workers
Dear All
I have been a loyal client for years, however that does mean anything. My contract was due for an upgrade (End of May) whereby a consultant phoned me and agreed on a phone (iPhone 6s 64 G) on 21 May. Afterwards I received a sms that specify that the phone is an Iphone 6s 32 G. I queried it as I heard something else on the phone when the consultant phoned me. The consultant phone me back the next day and verbalise that the phone is an Iphone 6s 32 G and if I want a 64G that it will be a previously owned phoned. I told the consultant as per what I heard that is not what was promised to me, I would like to hear the conversation and I want what was promised to me. The consultant told me that he could lose his job and that nothing was intentional. I asked the consultant that I just want to listen to the conversation what was promised to me. A query was opened, no feedback was received, just a sms on 02/06/2020 that query has been closed. I had to phone a few times to open the query, yet no one could escalate my query to the right person.
On 30 May I phoned Vodacom again for feedback about my previous query as no one gave me feedback, yet again no one could help me. I ask that my recurring 1 Gig data must be cancelled, which I was informed it was cancelled that day on the phone. I have phone again ( 27 June) to cancel it, however it is still showing on my invoice.
On 15 June I was phoned by another consultant, another contract was taken out. Received a phone call on 18 June that my phone will be couriered to me in the next 2-3 days. On 27 June I phone again to follow up where my phone was, I was informed that’s it’s on back order. I was told today again (07/07/2020) that the phone is on back order. I wonder if I have not been phoning, how long would I have waited as its almost 3 weeks after the contract was taken out?
I saw a few adverti*****ts how Vodacom is supporting essential workers during this time. For me as an essential worker nothing was done. Just endless phone calls from my side wasting my time and energy. All I need is a phone ( Simpel en klaar).
So please join this company: They promise you the world, they never get back to you, you have to follow up your own phone process ( Even though when taking the phone out it was promised as a simple procedure), no one will inform you about the process of your new phone, in the interim you will pay for your old contract and handset that is paid off. No one will phone you back and when you phone the customer care line about your concern, no one is concern about your concern, you get thrown from pillar to post and meet so many agents as no one wants to assist.
