Vodacom - ******* deductions for one year long, with no end in sight.
I have several contracts with Vodacom. I cancelled one of them, on 31 March 2020, when it expired. That is more than one year ago. They continued debiting my bank account. I called many times after that, all with no luck. In January 2021 this year, I tried again. Spoke to Nikheel Pillay at 08:02 on 06 January 2021. Once again, promises that it will definitely be cancelled and the debit order will not go off anymore, because it has been "escalated" to the "back office". As always, this did not happen. In February 2021 I called yet again. Spoke to Karushka at 13:55 on 15 February 2021. Exactly the same story as above. Today is 06 April 2021 and I am still being debited for a contract that has expired and had been cancelled. I do not even have this SIM Card anymore and the number is not in use. So Vodacom sees it fit to ***** my money. So far the amount effectively ****** comes to a whopping sum of One Thousand Five Hundred Rand. (1500,00). I now publish this on hellopeter in the hope that someone, somewhere, will sort this out. I cannot just put a stop at my bank on this debit order because I have other contracts with Vodacom and cannot afford the services on them to be suspended due to non-payment on a contract that has effectively been cancelled. Take care people, be careful, be very careful, before signing up with Vodacom. I have moved away from Vodacom to Telkom with four (4) of my other contracts and will do so with my remaining Vodacom contracts when they reach their end dates.
