Vodacom ignoring all reports of them making a mistake, and I'm paying for it!!!

I've had nothing but the worst aftersales customer care for the past 2 years.

I had a simcard i signed up for a few years back, and towards the end of it I requested this to be cancelled. However, a few months after the cancellation was said to take effect I noticed I was still paying for the number. I called and queried, and someone had proceeded to upgrade/renew my contract instead of cancelling as I requested. I called in numerous times trying to cancel and I was simply told someone would listen to the recording and get back to me. When I asked for a reference I was told because of the nature of the call, I wouldn't be receiving one. But every time I called, I was told there was no record of this call or the investigation taking place. Escalations would be said to be occurring, but yet again, no feedback or record when I followed up.

I started emailing and again I would get no response. After several emails to complaints, customercare, legal etc, and no feedback or resolution of this matter I decided to visit the Vodacom Shop at La Lucia mall. The lady there accessed my account and told me I renewed my contract and can only be cancelled in June.

Why is it so hard to do the following: 1. Have someone held accountable for this incorrect action; 2. Get feedback that I can actually follow up on and there being a record? In other words people doing what they promise? 3. Report an issue and have someone actually acknowledge and investigate this matter? 4. Have the call recording sent to me like I've requested? 5. Have this matter resolved and funds I've been paying over the past 2 years refunded to me?

I'm a pensioner, paying for something I did not request, I've reported this issue and I've clearly been ignored none stop. I just want this resolved, but no one processes my complaints or emails, let alone provide feedback.

I'm seriously on the verge of just stop paying ALL my Vodacom Contracts I have ( I have 4) so they laps and auto cancel, and take this matter further. I've tried numerous times to avoid this, and this is my last attempt.

I won't be taken advantage anymore or ignored.
