Vodacom ignore Apple replacement program
Since I got my iPhone 5 it has had a problem with the on/off power button. Never realising that it was an actual factory fault by Apple. After 21 months I walk into a Apple store and one of the Apple consultants tell me about the iPhone 5 replacement Program for this button problem. He says my phone must go through my service provider. I take it to Vodacom where no body knows what I am talking about, finally, Canal Walk Repair Centre agree to take it in. I got great feedback where in the process my phone is, Then I get a call saying my phone can be fixed for R3500. Back to Apple with another consultant telling me Vodacom has to replace it, \it is part of Apple's replacement program". ALL apple consultants I have spoken to have all said Vodacom has to replace. Now Vodacom keep phoning me with a R3500 quote to accept. I forwarded an email from Apple Contact Centre to Vodacom and still they must assess the phone again. Why? You already assessed it to give me a quote. The Apple consultant has told me Vodacom must replace this phone because they don't fix iPhones in SA. The manufacturer"
