Vodacom: how to make money off the dead

My dad died last year May. My mum tried unsuccessfully to end his phone contract both by contacting Vodacom customer care line and and by going to the Vodacom shop at the MOS no less then 3 times. She was walking around with all the paper's they asked for, for almost 6 months. We even had calls to upgrade as his contract would have ended by June. We kept informing them of our loss and they kept promising to have someone call to hep us. In all this time we kept paying the account including his personal phone which had been switched off almost from the day he had passed on. Now almost 1.5 year later, having paid approximately R327 per month the payments have come to an end! NOW suddenly Vodacom is paying attention and wants us to pay a further R2470 to end the contract. Hello! The contract ended last year's although we continued to pay because of Vodacom incompetence, laziness and no desire to do their job. Also we didn't want any debts on my dad's name. Instead of offering to reimburse my mum who is a pensioner for the months the fone was not in use and out of use (check your records vodacom!) You now want to charge her more?
